I was super excited this week to try Veronica Bosgraaf’s Pure Bars after receiving a sample package in the mail. I’ve been eyeing these bars for a while since they boast superb nutritional stats. See for yourself:
These organic, raw, vegan, gluten-free bars are made from dried fruit, nuts, rice protein, and agave nectar. I love that the ingredient list is super short and that I know what everything on that list actually is. They’re also lower in sugar and higher in protein than many dried fruit and nut bars out there. With a lot of competing products like these, I honestly think Pure Bars are amongst the best in gluten-free, vegan, and raw nutrition bars. This is simple, clean nutrition at its finest. And to think I haven’t even mentioned how they taste!
Pure bars are delicious! Like most raw foods, the flavors are rich, complex, and totally satisfying. They come in these six flavors:
- Cranberry Orange
- Apple Cinnamon
- Wild Blueberry
- Trail Mix
- Cherry Cashew
- Chocolate Brownie
My ultimate favorite is Cranberry Orange- with a cup of hot coffee and a slices of a fresh apple, this bar tasted like Christmas morning. I have no other way to describe the deliciousness. The runner up flavors? Apple Cinnamon, Trail Mix, and Wild Blueberry. I dare say they taste better than apple pie and blueberry muffins. But who am I kidding, they’re all good!
Kudos to Veronica for making such wholesome and delicious food that are easily portable and dependably nutritious.
